I was following this thread and it seems like a done deal that DSA will domestically produce the AUG. But since the AUG isn't everyone's cup of tea, what other rifles would you like to see made here in the states, so we can get around that stupid import law? It's a shame that Kentlik is taking it in the shorts on his AUG deal, but perhaps he can find a niche in another weapon.
I'll post a poll when I get enough suggestions; so far I've noted interest in Sig 550, 551 series, FN P90's, and HK 91,93's and G36's. What else? Galil's? FNC's? Anything more exotic? |
Nothing other then what you listed off the top of my head.
Im sure if I looked around there would be some stuff Id like though. |
I have been hearing rumors of a civvie P90, I would love to have one of those. But I live in Cali.

Mig-22 Assult Rifle - you know the one used in all the school massacres, cant find that thread at the moment

closed bolt semi-auto belt feds:
m-60 240 saw RPD MG 34 , 42 HK G20? the belt version of the G3. Etc. Light rifles: VZ-58 Bizon 9mm? The AK in 9mm with a helical mag. XM-8 Shotguns: Spaz 12 410 Saega with 25 rnd drum Thats all I can think of now. |
I know the RPD is already being produced, and I can't think of anything beltfed that's cheaper than that. M60 semi's are out there, though I've never seen a semi MINIMI. I think it's a tougher sell on a beltfed if it isn't auto. God I want one though. |
OMG I want one of those full auto AK's with the hi cap mags! THose thingz are da shit! They gonna be legal when this ban is going! They can blow up po-lice cars in 1 shot and can shoot down jumbo jets!
1919 belty fed are getting more common.
They are fun but heavy and much more fun full-auto. Edited to add: I can't believe I forgot the HK G-11 Caseless ammunition firing dream gun |
This is quite unlike arfcommers. An offer to check multiple choices should reflect an even number under each weapon. What happened to getting them all?
I checked every one on the list and would like to see a mulitude of other choices coming into the market. |
I looked hard at a 1919, Id like one but it isnt top of the list.
Id like a lighter beltfed rifle. |
A 1919 isn't cheap enough for you? |
The HK USC .45 IS available to U.S. civilians, it's just hard to find as they aren't being made anymore.
The UMP is the USC with short barrell, folding stock, vented forend, and the cool little full auto feature, and hi cap greasegun mags, a no no for US Civvies right now And the ban isn't GONE yet, let's keep our fingers crossed. |
19191 is in my range and I was close ti getting one the other month. Id just like something abit lighter, around FAL/AR10/AR15 size and weight. |

1.HK91
2.FAMAS 3.SIG 550 series 4.G36 series 5.P90 6.AK74 Anything else?Feel free to add to the list if you want. |
UMP uses a proprietary 25 round polymer mag. |
I'd love to see more rifles of all types, but if I had to choose one I want a FN P90
My bad, you're right, the USC can be modified though, via the Top Notch UMP kit to use the greasegun mags, correct? Or am I way out in left field here? I've been doing research on the two, as I have a USC en route to me as we speak. |
Well, all the above listed sound pretty good to me. Although I think a P90 with a 16" barrel might look a little silly Only thing I would add would be civilian legal rifles with happy switches. Oh well, too bad THAT ban isn't going away in 12 days.
That thing looks clumsy as hell. Does it have a bolt hold open device? - BG |
Anything HK.
Some really evil looking .22s with ultra hi cap mags |
Cheap and belt fed , somehow, never seem to go hand in hand. There are already closed bolt semi MG 34s and 42s, 249s, 60, RPDs. S.O. |
I'd love to shoot a SIG 550, FAMAS F2, or HK G36. Whatever happened to the Barrett/TAVOR deal?
Got to play around with one at the show show. |

My thoughts exactly! |
FN2000
FN P90 FA-MAS Steyr AUG Sig 550 & 551 HK G36 That's it for the ones we can't get already. |
+1 I'd even settle for a 7.62 x 39 mod of the MP44! |

Tavor
AUG P90 HK 94 G36 SA80 Now how do we go about repealing the [Corrected. Thanks, jblachly -- I had a brain fart.] |
86 MG boondoggle. 89 import ban could be done away with by presidential orders or sec. treas orders OR removing "sporting" from the 1968 GCA. |
FN2000 FAMAS SA-80 ... that singaporean one also looked nice, but is it jsut an SA-80 variant or something? Anyone know anythign about those? |
40 watt, thats it? I have a 400 watt model. Does this to BG's on impact----> I would like to see an FNC and SIG 500 series rifles' |
I personally would like to see
Styer MPI 69 Styer TMP AUG FN P90 FN 2000 FN FNC Para SIG 550 XM29 SABR / OFCW Assault Rifle |
