Telemarketers, the most annoying creature on the face of the Earth...

Then, they insulted us worse by using recordings. At least you dont feel bad about slamming the phone down on them.

NOW, they have these friggin Punjabis who dont understand the language, and just dont get that I"M NOT INTERESTED!

Why even say a single word.....as soon as you realize that a call is an unsolicited sales call, just hang up the reciever without saying a word. You pay the phone bill, you get to choose how to use it. No need to be polite, these people arent guests in your home....they are intruders.

When I answer my phone, as soon as I realize that the person on the other end doesnt know me, I hang up...no words, just CLICK

I haven't had a call in a year - put my numbers on that no-call list ... it worked!

I have some advice for you. National do not call list. It has worked for me.

1. www.donotcall.gov

2. Answering machine

3. Caller ID

4. Anonymous Call Rejection

Calls went from 5 or 10 A DAY down to 1 or 2 "I have no idea who the F*** you are and I'm not picking up" type calls a MONTH.

Ah, blessed is silence.

Just answer your phone by saying "Law Office". They always hang up

They call on my shop line, which is always forwarded to my cel.

I'm just a bit more evil........................

I always answer the phone, if its one of those calls I will give a couple of "uh huh's" then lay the phone down and go back to what I was doing leaving it untill I hear the disconnected sound. Its their phone bill calling me, I will waste their money all I can.

Before hanging up, demand to speak to a supervisor and ask that your name be removed form their list, otherwise they will call back. Some companies are getting around the do not call list because it exempts certain activities such as polical and religeous fundraising and surveys. The companies say they are conducting a survey and then hit you up for their thing.
Also, do not get rude with them, as many telemarketers are calling as their prison work program. This is true. St. Cloud Prison in MN has telemarketers and they have your name, address and phone. How's that for comforting?
