Ahhhh ya baby, here we are........

First, I had a funeral to go to today, this am, and I was heading home, and I am behind a Fed-Ex truck, and he is heading towards my road, NO WAY, I thought, what are the odds, and sure enough he pulls up in front of my house, and pull up in the drive...and here is what he gave me...

1 CMP SA service grade M1 Garand.......

The only marks in the wood, are two good size dings in the upper handguards, no problem, adds some flavour to it....

All in all, a very clean rifle, with matching wood, and GREAT finish on the metal.

It has a SA trigger assembly, HRA bolt, SA barrel 1955 date.

How long did it take? Got 2 SA SGs in June in 3 working days. Both good shooters, receivers low 2 million WWII, one had the original barrel w green park and the other had a '51 barrel and a brand new (no wear at all) trigger.

Oh yeah, having barely practiced with it she fired a 172-3 out of 200 at a local match that uses NRA 100 yard smallbore targets. The old warhorses can still make their voices heard!

When did the Center for Manipulative Psychopolitics start selling rifles? Why was I not informed?

1 CMP SA service grade M1 Garand.......

I've always wanted a Garand so I have to ask what this means.   I thought complete old Garands were really hard to come by.   What price range are we talking?

Thanks!

Wow!  That is much nicer than any of the other M1s I've seen from CMP.  Of course, all of them are beautiful in my eyes

My personal hell is that for me to buy another one, I would have to sell one of the rifles I currently have.   Hmm. . . .  maybe I don't really need that M91/30 with the MO stamp...  Decisions, decisions!

This is true if you order a M1903.  Those are only given a basic safety inspection.   The M1s are cleaned, inspected, and test fired prior to shipment.

Definitely the best $500 I ever spent.

I got an all original WWII issue SA SG M1 last year from the CMP. Mine didn't look as nice as yours, but was in good condition with all correct parts. It took 3 weeks to get it. The shot pattern at 100 yards looks like a shotgun. I think the gas cylinder is too loose. I ordered a SA M1903 and a RA M1903A3 this year. They were completely covered in grease. The M1903 was pretty worn, but shoots very well. The M1903A3 was in almost new condition. It shoots better than the M1 and the M1903.

Thats the worst looking M1 I have ever seen, even my one in basic had better wood than that!!!

We had to break in down and boil it in a drip can burner till it was clean!!!

But take her to the field, push in on them sights, left and right!

At 100 yards you  should be able to hit a five inch orange clay!!!

And if you can do that the bingo you got a rifle!!! With a good bore!!!

Not all are as that other guy posted his shot patterns like a  shotgun!!!

If your's has a good bore then E-Mail me as I have something for you!!!

Hey sweet cheeks you need to fire this rifle before you go getting crazy and stuff!

It might just be the worst worn out barrel that ever crossed this side of hell!!

And it might be that 100 yard tack driver!!

Thanks for the link!

I looked at the website and I'me definately interested!!   I did a search for affiliated clubs and all I got for Oklahoma was the Marine Jr ROTC at U.S. Grant High School.  Interestingly enough, that is one of the three schools I'm assigned to this year but I doubt they let civilian adults shoot with them.

I see you are from Oklahoma.  Do you have any suggestions to get a FAST affiliation card?   I really think I may do this.

Can you specify a rifle from a specific time period?  One customer on their feedback page describes getting a May 1944 Garand "just as requested".
