I pondered this today after seeing something on the History channel.  In the war of 1812 with Washington DC under direct attack, and the government evacuated, Dolly Madison returned to the white house for the purpose of rescuing a painting of George Washington so that it could be saved for future generations of Americans.  A brave act under fire for a first Lady.

Elenor Roosevelt rallied to troops, supported millions and served her husband by serving the American people and bringing hope to millions when they were down.  She was the Presidents eyes and ears and truly was a great American.

Nancy , Laura, Jackie, even Roselyn brought grace and elegance while supporting their husband's terms of office.

Forget John Skerry for a moment.  Could anyone in their right mind see Terrehza in the white house???
