...that the presenters and live acts were a virtual non-stop stream of Rap/Hip-Hop 'artists', yet the Viewer's Choice ( the preferred artists of the actual viewers) were mostly Rock Bands ie: Good Charlote, Linkin Park, Hoobastank, etc.

Question:  If the viewers mostly like Rock Bands, then during the VMA show itself...Where were all the Rock bands???

Talk amongst yourselves......

During MTV's regular broadcasts, they have a section where you can vote on what to hear next.  It pits 3 songs against each other.

Except for cross over hits, the hip hop/urban stuff only gets 12% of the vote most of the time, inline with population figures.

Yet the rest of the broadcast day, hip hop/urban music gets 80% or more of the airplay.

Methinks they are pushing an agenda.

Its been straight downhill since they got rid of Headbanger's Ball.

Kennedy, that strange chick with the funky glasses from 15 years ago, is mad hot tho.

And she's a Republican.

MTV has sucked since the early 90's

It just sucks a lot more now.  When's the last time it was known for music and not crappy reality TV shows?

mtv is gay, literally. mtv2, which actually plays music instead of homosexual dating games, is alright.

Late 80's.

For those younger members among us: There was actually a time when MTV played MUSIC VIDEOS....

Actually, MTV has sucked since Kennedy and Idalis DeLeon, that super-hottie from that girl group, left the station.  Everybody thinks we all worship rap.  But we don't.  Rappers even admit that the people who make them rich are surburban white kids who wish they were black!!  If rappers had to rely on urban ghetto kids to buy their shit, they wouldn't even be able to afford to cut a damn album!!
