C for the immune system.
E for the antioxidants
Glucosamine-Chondroitin complex to maintain my joints, particularly my knees, because they sometimes crackle but don't hurt, and I'm 39 and use my knees really hard when I was a teenager and was on my skateboard 3 or 4 hours every stinking day for years! My knees are quieter than they used to be, and given that I still work out hard including squats under fair amounts of weight, they need to be well maintained!
Garlic for stabilization of the entire cardiac/circulatory system. Since I started using it, my average BP is down a few points (it was never high, though) and the occasional random palpitation (diagnosed by the doctor as nothing unusual or noteworthy) has disappeared.
A wide spectrum multi for dietary completeness
Ocuvite for my eye health.
And I take one prescription medicine, Lumigan, (Eye drops) because I was tentatively diagnosed with ocular hypertension, or higher than normal pressure in the fluid in my eyes...which is a precursor condition for glaucoma. Fortunately, I lack the other two symptoms that result in the diagnosis of glaucoma, my pressure is stable in the normal range now, and further test reveal that my corneas are unusually thick, which suggests that my actual intraocular pressure is lower than the test reads, which means I may not actually even have ocular hypertension....they're just not sure so I take the drops anyway.
A side effect of the drops is that my eyelashes have grown long and thick. Women envy my eyelashes now! (The stuff is chemically related to Rogaine.)
