OK Gents this is how the Ranger Memorial "walk" works...

When I was in "Bn" in the early 90's..... the Rangers wanted a memorial at Ft Benning like the Airborne guys had.  A very smart group of guys came up with the idea of paying for it by selling "bricks" that would be used to create the walk way that led up to the actual memorial.

A call went out to all current and former member of the Ranger Regt as well as WWII, Korea, Vietanam Rangers.....
When enough stones could not be sold the Ranger Training Brigade suggested that "Ranger Qualified" (people that graduated Ranger school but never served in a ranger unit) be allowed to purchase a stone as well.

The idea passed and stones got sold to finance the memorial that stands to the side of Building #4 which is the Infantry school HQ at Ft Benning Ga.

I have many comrades including those that have fallen on the field of battle embedded in the ground along with me

I have a stone on the first Row.... I am proud of my contibution to Ranger history....
