On sat dish, the pic says "live edt" in the corner. Race time is 9:30 (nine min)
right now.

Apparently the guy who attacked the leader was a nutcase

He had a sign on his back that said "Israel - fullfilment of prophecy"

... as well as something else that couldn't be made out.

The guy is a irish dude some bible wiredo did the same thing at rhe british Gp last year, He almost got ran over there by 200mph f1 cars.

The story says that police got him off the runner, but from what I saw it looked like other spectators helped get the runner back to the race.

Don't think the "protest" had anything to do with Bush or Iraq or anything like that

... the commentators did tell another story, about how one runner (possibly the leader, I'm not sure) got chased off the course by two large dogs in the 1904 St. Louis Olympics.

damn...well, in the slo-mo replay the bicycle cop reacted about as fast as he could have.

the whackjob had the brazilian runner on the sidewalk and in the crowd BEFORE the cop had a chance to close the distance on foot. the cop entererd the crowd as fast as he could.

what a sad state of affairs the such lunatics are walking among us.
