I finally decided I needed a better way to store magazines.  About 1/2 are stored in Ammo cans in a corner.  The rest were lying all over the place and I needed a place to put my reguarly used mags.  Not too pretty and not sanded so you have to watch out for splinters.  But it works well.

So how are the pieces of wood put together? How are they attached to each other?

BTW, good idea. Why are there empty shelves?

Wood glue since I'm lazy.  Pegboard in the back to hold the mags from going through and out.  36" wide and 4" and 3" shelves.  Actual height of each shelf is 2½ and 3½ since wood size isn't correct.  Example a 2x4 isn't really 2" x 4"

Approximately 20 Mp5 mags, 20 Uzi , 2 M11 , 8 AK , 11 Sar2 , 5 Fal, 17 M14 mags, 24 HK51 mags, misc 10/22, 22lr AR mags, etc.  Only about 10 AR15 mags there.  Few loaders and misc 22 subsonic ammo on top.

Empty shelves because ½ or most of my AR and AK mags are in 50 cal ammo cans.  Those are just what I use throughout the year.  More expensive mags are in my safe, ie American 180 drums.

Funny, I've got one just like it, sitting all alone on my bench.

Nice rack, need to fill those empty spaces though...

Yep, gonna save the link to show my other half. She thinks I have a lot of stuff. "Here, honey, look at
this!"

(Of course, wait until we get moved, and I actually have a place that I can concentrate all of my
firearms related gear. Then she's really gonna shit!)(I'll probably be IM'ing you to get the basic
plans so that I can build one for me.)

Whats OCD?  It is semi-organized, but there are various things strewn around which need better organization.

Are those AK mags second level from the bottom on the left?  Is that an orange follower?

Are those Uzi mags on the bottom left?

Your set-up is awesome.

Wish I could do that but it's so friggin humid here that the mags would be little rust colored puddles on the shelves in about a week.

<sigh>  Those pix are wet dream material.

No limit. I watched a show a couple of years ago (Discovery channel I think) about OCD. It documented people in different stages of OCD. I remember being glad I wasn't as bad as some of those people. Now a few years later I am worse. Example: I like the shelf idea but it would never work for me. The mags would just get dusty and I would have to keep cleaning them. They have to be sealed up, ammo can, drawer, box, etc.

Directly or indirectly it has cost me my job, friends, family, and just about my wife. As a matter of fact she was pissed at me today. I don't know how much longer I can handle it myself.

Sorry about the hijack 7. Looks good. I am more interested in the shelves for your ammo cans. I may do something like that. I am expecting six more 50 cal. cans today from CTD.
