I have a stainless 10/22 that I want to build up with "evil features" as my truck gun/ plinker.  Who else is with me?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting ahold of another 10/22 and slapping a folding stck and a decent 50-round magazine on it. Just a fun little bullet hose...

I just want lots of 25 round Butler Creek magazines, shooting 10 rounds out of a 10/22 is such a let down

Is there any newer hardware starting to be advertised?  I have one old Butler Creek mag that's been epoxied and duck taped back together.  I would think that that whole 10/22 industry would be in high gear by now...

Yep mags are being ordered by most retailers as we type.  I want to go this way with mine. www.gunblast.com/TacticalSolutions1022.htm

Wouldn't 50 rounds of .17hm2 in a lightweight bull barrel be cool? That round will work in a standard .22 mag. It might require changing the recoil spring but I could live with that.

Ya know what's funny? in 1998 I bought the last bunch of Butler Creek 25 round mags from Big-5 in San Diego.
They were selling for $17.00 each.
I bought 8 of them.
I sold one to Chuck Santose and I use two.
The rest are still NIW.

I'll sell them to you, they are rare preban-postban-ban sunset 10/22 mags.
$100 each plus shipping.

Cant imagine making my 10/22 any cooler than 1/2 MOA at 50 yards.
I can pick off .22LR casings at 50 yards, a bayonet lug aint gonna make it shoot straighter!

My AR is a whole different story, but then again, thats a whole different thread!

I want a 3 barrelled, belt fed fully automatic 10/22...

It'll be the ultimate CQB weapon.

I'd like to do a build that would use .17HMR but there's nothing "post AWB" that really does anything for me other than bigger mags once I get out of the PRK.

You can still have some fun with what's available now.

Oh, I agree totally!
I have a target 10/22, and this will have a 16 in.  carbon fiber barrel, folding stock, 25 rd. mags, good trigger and quality optics.

RBPrecision is supposed to be coming out with a new 10/22 stock that uses standard AR stocks and PG's - looks pretty neat.   I was going to get one and wait for the AWB to sunset, but I couldn't wait to get mine together, so just recent picked up a Bell & Carlson instead...

I may still need to get one of the RBPrecision stocks if they get good reviews, though.

I am looking foward to reasonable evil mags for my 10/22. (I live in CT so mags are about all I get)
For the life of me I can't see why everyone is so fired up over the 17HRM.If I was a varmit hunter I could see messing with it,but the ammo is kind of steep. Not knocking those of you who want one to play with,I
just can't reason why they are so hot of a deal.I have thought of a 10/22mag from time to time but reach the same end.To me the one of the joys of a rimfire is the cheep ammo. I spend plenty feeding my
Anshutz for my clubs 100yd prone league (rimfire at 100 shows the value of $10+ ammo for a rimfire) but
I truly get great joy with a 10/22T or a Ceiner in my Bushmaster and a couple boxes of Wolf MT. I like it so much I am going to spend the value of a nice AR building up a crazy 10/22.You know the kind- Super brand name Barrel (Clark? Lilja? Wilson?) high end trigger (Kidd ?)Stainless? reciever and a crazy target stock.Holy shit, should I just buy a new Anshutz?

I don't have  10/22

Maybe the AWB going away will be a reason to get one now.

Anyone interested in bringing new shooters into the fold should have one.

Great "ambassador" gun.

I hope someone out there knows something.

the 10/22 doesnt need evil features to be cool, as it already cool

I have a target 10/22 and I keep five 10 round mag in my pocket, so I really havent felt I needed
hi cap mags YET.

Now dont get me wrong Im going to buy several mitchel, good hot lips, etc,  just to have them on hand

I have a Marlin 7000 that I've had for a 7 years now, and after the sunset, I'll be switching over to the 10/22. If you want to see some cool kits for them, check out this site:

http://www.volquartsen.com

I'd love to see little 50 or 75 round drums!~

I plan on building another one, but pre-ban features won't be on it.  Actually, I want to build up a 10/17, but Ruger wants way too much for them.  A 10/22 magnum could be had for $300.  They want a lot more for the 10/17, which is the same gun with a different barrel.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

BTW Cope's Distributing is (or at least was last week) selling the 25 rd. condor mags for $20/each.    I got a pair, and while QC doesn't seem to be as good as butler creek, they worked 100% in my 10/22 so far (granted, only shot about 150 rounds out of them in the 10/22) and as well as anything else in my .22 conversion for my m11/9.   I've heard lots of bad things about them, but then again, that's the case with most of the aftermarket 10/22 mags.   They have the metal lips, so wear isn't an issue.
