Three of my nearest neighbors are Mormons and they're not only quite and polite but good sources for supplies as their temple networks sources. The family across the street are the "canning" experts. They've got a 350 gallon water storage tank in their backyard.

My brother-in-law is a mormon and he dosnt have enough rounds on hand at deer season to start a fire. He has several weapons, all hunting type weapons and 1 sks. You could fit every round in his possesion at any given time in a space half the size of a shoe box. Now if you want preparedness ask for the Christian Identity folks to come over. Or the Anglo Israel movement, now those folks know prepareation.
 They are not what the media makes them out to be. Just look at the way the media make gunowners look.

Thanks TJ for the invite. If any of you live near UT or AZ or other large "mormon" hubs, we generally have very proficient cannerys open to the public. For very cheap you can go in and buy dry pack foods ready for storage. Here at my house we have a year supply of food for 4 people and enough water for a couple of weeks. "Be prepared" Boy Scout motto |

People are people my friend and yes sterotyping is not a good thing but it's pretty safe to assume that I having been raised in Applachia am decended from folks who once had a farm just as it would to assume a native Texan at one time had probably has a relative who's roots are in ranching or the oil patch. Information given from any quarter is appreaciated. Personaly I would love to appeal to the Amish for information but the odds of them having a computer isn't all that good. Tj |
