Governor Schwarzenegger has organized a "California Garage Sale” that will take place on Friday and Saturday in the state capital Sacramento and some of the items will also be offered by online auctioneer eBay.

“These are items no longer needed by the great state of California.” said Fred Aguiar, who is overseeing the sale as State and Consumer Services Agency secretary. “These are such items as confiscated vehicles, jewelry, clothing, things like that. We have also included elderly folks who are clogging up our systems as well as the really, really lazy.”

Aguiar says desks would sell for as low as $2, laptop computers for as little as $20 and bargaining would be allowed.

As of Wednesday, the Ford Mustang has attracted an eBay bid of $5,600. An 85 year old Grandmother from Covina has attracted a bid of $56.

“These items are of no use to us, yet are treasures to others.” Added Aguiar. “We have received no resistance in sale of live beings. This makes us believe in September we can enter phase two of the auction when we sell off the over weight and the extremely ugly.”




I hear they also have 1000's of QUALITY knives from the AAirports and such.
