Some days I just feel relief to think about the day it might all end and I look forward to eternity with the big guy, although I do not have any kind of death wish I just feel that life can get a little overwhelming at times. Driving stresses me out a lot, my area of TN has some crappy drivers and it sucks. People go straight from the turn lanes, u turns on red lights, barley missing other cars. I've almost been hit numerous times in just the past 2 months. Driving can really stress me out.

Ever since a couple months ago when some jerkoff cut me off on the freeway and caused me to spin out, I hate driving.  Especially on the freeways at night.  California is the state of idiot drivers.

It's used as a Target, been hit with beer bottles, rocks, shot with a shotgun once , ran over a time or two, things of this nature, have had only one person stop to tell me that he had hit it while pulling a disc behind a tractor, he even brought me another mail box and post,labor not included,  next time I have to put another one up I think I will tape a Big Ass Bullseye on both side's of it, maybe they wont be able to hit it if it has a target on it

Everything that is so flat out wrong. I suppose that could be better defined by pointing out that "common sense has left the building". I keep telling myself that life really isn`t this complicated, but ppl sure seem bent on proving me wrong with ever increasing BS. I can`t even attempt to entertain BS anymore.

You should make it a little tougher.  do something like using heavy steel pipe and a concrete anchor for the base of it.  Then you won't have to worry about baseball bats.  Pick up some steel plate (the kind guys around here use for targets) and attach it to the sides.  sure it won't look that pretty, but if they can't hurt it by shooting at/hitting it  they'll probably stop eventually.  That or try harder.

Note:  My dad had one of his neighbor with  a similar problem, in his case it was just base ball bat.  He did the steel pipe, filled with concrete and a concrete base.  Next time they came through they broke the bat on it and injured their arm.  Tried to sue the guy, the judge laughed at them, then made them pay him for the mail box.  Next they tried to run it over with a truck, ended up destroying the truck, and only bending the mail box post.  Apparently there was metal, oil, and coolant all over the place too...
