Lightning capital of the world.  I used to live in Brandon.  There sure were some impressive lightning shows during the summer.

Yep . I miss the beach at times , But I figured if I move this far north I could maybe figure out why all the snow birds can't fucking drive .

Z-hills. Someone working on a roof in Port Charlotte took a blue sky strike yesterday I think. A number of kids in the Tampa area were hit too.
I've had strikes very close to my place for years this is the first year I've been hit. It hit one of my palms and from there followed the wiring for my porch lights into the house and fried a bunch of stuff.
