Its a tomato pie.
(of course, I'm part Sicilian, so maybe I'm biased...) ETA: hepcat's pic shows a significant issue though. Pizza and the toasted cardboard crap you get from places like Pizza Hut are two completely different things. |

Pizza and pie has same characteristics, as far as: 1. Shape: Round. 2. Cut into sections and can be used as a teaching tools, like fraction... 3. Edible...excellent food I might say. 4. Its dough derives from flour... 5. Both can kill you if consumption is overboard due to high chrolesterol content. So hell yeah.   |

Sorry, the pics were on-the-fly pick ups. I NEVER get pizza at Pizza Hut or any chain type place. Living in the North East, I've got the pick of dozens of mom and pops for the GREATEST pizza. I love Tomato pie. Almost no cheese...olive oil, fresh tomatos, garlic. Yeah baby! |

actually, Tomato Pie is pretty healthy. Olive oil-GOOD. Tomato-GOOD Garlic-GOOD. The bad part is the crust...that evil seductive yummy bitch goddess. PS- I like Fritters baked inside Pies |
