china town and the waterfront area are both pretty neat. I was there for a day last year. If possible fuel up on the american side. IT'S A LOT CHEAPER!
The main thing that hit me was it was a pretty dirty town in the downtown areas. The bums like to hang out in the parking lots and give you parking passes for american cash. They buy passes for .50 canadian and want you to give them .50 american. If you REALLY want to get the big head go to an ATM and check your bank balance.  mike |

Vancouver is a great place! My wife and I honeymooned there.
Take the water ferry to Victoria for a day. Cool colonial area that still maintains its British culture. Plus you can check out parliament. Carderro's on Coal Harbour is a terrific resturant with great food. A tip when visiting Canada: Use your bank checkcard/debit card for EVERYTHING you can. While all stores will convert cash from US to Canadian, your bank will give you the official, and therefore better exchange rate. Look out for the panhandlers. They're more polite than in the States, but they are way more aggressive. Have fun! |

Make sure it's really Vancouver BC they are sending you to and not Vancouver Washington!
