Besides all the smartass comments liK "women", "phone numbers", "money", etc.

Obviously alot of folks here collect guns.

Personally I don't collect anything.  I used to collect Harley t-shirts from the various dealerships I visit, but I've stopped that since I've come to hate the dealerships and the parent company.

I don't collect guns per-se.  I see them more as tools or toys, not something to own purely for the sake of owning.  I can understand that somebody might want to own an 1886 Colt SAA that is somehow rare and value, but it doesn't interest me to see something sitting in a case on my desk.

Yep. Silver and gold mostly. But I am a serious packrat and justify it by calling it  "Collections".

From live ctgs, to antique peep sights. From custom knives to old ammo boxes. From books about the history of arms to old machinists manuals. I collcet way to much stuff.

I suppose you could say I collect guns. With guns its like: "Oooooh! I gotta get one of those!" even though I may not shoot it much I just gotta have one.

Scars....both physical & emotional.....

Actually, Mrs. KYREB and I have a collection of Derby glasses.  These are the official ones from the KY Derby that they sell the mint julips in.  Different design every year.  We have some that go back into the early 50s.

I also have collected various ammo cartridges since I was a teen.  Got a box full, just not organized in any way.

I like coins too.  Morgan silver dollars especially.

Oh yeah...guns too!

Man - my mom used to say - if i had two of something, I would start a collection! HAHAH . Which is kinda true.  I suppose my dream job would be to have a museum that showed off some of the worlds greatest collections!

When I was little I collected rocks, sea shells, stamps, starwars figures, and pennies

When I was older it was stamps and comic books and starwars stuff

Older, I still pick up some older star wars stuff here and there.  I love to collect old paintball guns. I have my collection showed off here:
http://mister44.com/projects/paintball_markers/

If any of you have pre 1990 makers - email me. Id love to look at them (not you NoKarma, I know the cool stuff you own).

But right now - man - I just dont have the cash for it. I am responsible now, paying off my debt - and planning a trip to Europe. I hope when I get back I can save some money for more toys for  me - hehe.

captured enemy combat gear that was brought back by US combat vets from past wars..

*enemy combat helmets & head gear
*bayonets & knives
*uniforms, belts, web gear, holsters
*inert ordnance or pieces of shrapnel picked up off the battlefield

a Vietnam vet gave me part of a Chi-Com morter that he found after an enemy morter attack while he was at "Long Binh Vietnam" back in 1968, it was the morter fins and they were mushroomed by the concusion after exploding, he found several after the attack.

Don't really collect, just end up with.
Railroad lanterns/marker lights.
Anything from the days gone by.

Sure wish I would have grabbed one of the old canvas bags you would see all the time hung in the front of cars in the 60's ...and the old A/C units you hung in the side window.

I have a barware collection.  When we have a party at my place or have someone over for drinks, I show them to the bar and have them pick out their own glass.

It makes things a little more enjoyable (personal) for the guest and keeps the drinks from getting mixed up too.
