Ok..a buddy if mine went to a nephew's b-day party. Before the party he was told that the nephew and buds were going to play paintball and they thought themselves to be badasses...high schoolers

So he took a ghillie suit I made him and his paintball gear and went to the party...

He offered up to take all of them on...6-7 of  them I think it was...

So on a trail, he put the ghillie suit on a short stick and placed it so that it would be seen and moved off to the side to ambush them...

He sat there as they moved up the trail...then they spotted the ghillie suit....they open fired with a volley...yelling.."We got'em"...

They ran up to the spot...one of then reached down and picked up the suit....

He turned, ghillie suit still in his hand and yelled...

"It's a trap! We're right where he wants us to be!....RUN!"

He was laughing so hard it took him a few seconds before he open fired on the retreating mass of junior commandos....

Mine, this is from the days of masks without hats underneath, and 10-round, single shot splatmasters.

Two guys in cover popping up taking the odd shot, one take a shot to the forehead, a long orange streak on top of his head.

He hits the floor, in pain (the big wuss), and a marshall runs over calls him in (head shots dont count). So he loks up and screams
    "I farking well am Dead, that hurts!"

2nd guy rolls round on his back laughing, gets hit in the toe of his boot, not even in a spot where it would have clipped the toes.

Marshall calls him out.

Not a happy puppy.

there are several fields that do that, to discourage head shots.
Less likely to aim for the head, if you can't get someone out with it. Just for saftey's sake, especially since a lot of people rip the armor off and just wear gogles.

Most of them. Discourages taking head shots on people if they can stay in and extract revenge. We play that they don't count buy you can call out if you want. Usually I stay in and fight.

I brought both teams to a laughing standstill once. Somebody slightly behind and to the left of me took a shot at me. It grazed the bottom of my left ass cheek, right where the cheek joins the leg, and impacted at the same height on the right ass cheek/leg. I squeeled like a pig and everybody stopped and laughed.

Great story Dog1. I play with several middle school and high school kids. Some are good, most think their good.

I still remember my first and second paintball strike, first hit was in the boys and before I could recover from that I caught one in the eyes. Now I wear a cup and have never been struck in the the face since.

playin woodsball... my brother and i managed to circle around the opposition and started eliminating them, i got to a bunker behind a 20ish girl who had been talkin shit all day, she didnt know i was behind her, i was about 15 ft away, suicide to cry for a surrender, so i pulled the trigger and shot her in the ass... she was pissed! got a good laugh then cought friendly fire.. they didnt realize i had gotten behind lines. LOL

saw someone limp off the field after a nut shot as well.. funny shit.

I have never seen that rule before, and that justification sounds like BS.

Most of the time the ONLY target is the guys goggles or the top of his head.  I would rather them not call out gun hits, but the places I have played count everything as a hit!  

my team got take out one time except me.  I had 4-5 of them left and took them all out with my single shot POS rental pistol.  Many of them had long guns too.  Wa kinda funny as I head shot them as they peeked around corners.  got one hiding behind a tree with just a little bit showing- they were PISSED!  Never got shot- not once.

The no head shot is a saftey kind of thing. But I don't like the "Hit anywhere is out" rule either. The bunch I play with, two dozen or so if everybody shows up, don't count hits to the gun or below the elbows or below the knees. Makes the games last a little longer. We also don't count splatter. Has to be a solid hit. Head shots are optional. Some will call out, some don't. If I'm in a wicked crossfire and taking nothing but head shots I might call out after the third or fourth one. If I'm the last of my team I ignore the head shots and stay in til they kill me good and proper. Or I get them. I don't mind 3 on 1.
