If it is an SBR then they must undergo the FBI background check, obtain approval from the cheif LEO in the area, and pay the $200 transfer fee.

Also, if you are buying the gun for a QUALIFIED person (meaning that they COULD legally go out and buy it themselves), paying with YOUR OWN money, and GIVING it to them AS A GIFT, then YES.

If they are disqualified from owning a firearm, or you deviate any of the conditions then it is a "straw purchase", and YOU go the prison!

The reason I ask, I know in Nevada you can transfer a pistol to someone under 21 but a FFL due to federal law can't sell to anyone under 21m being he is a Federal Dealer must follow federal laws. Just curious if same rules applied for a SBR.

You have to be 21 to own NFA items, IIRC.

The process for buying an SBR in ANY state is ALOT more stringent than those for buying a pistol!
