Youngstown Mayor George M. McKelvey - the Democratic mayor of a very Democratic rust-belt city - endorsed President Bush for re-election Monday, calling him a "friend" and a "kind, caring, God-fearing man."

The Bush campaign called it the biggest Democratic endorsement in Ohio, and one of the biggest in the country. McKelvey's endorsement puts him in a league with U.S. Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga., and St. Paul, Minn., Mayor Randy Kelly.

"I'm still waiting for someone to show me what we've gotten in this valley for delivering 70 percent of the vote to Democrats over the last 120 years. Are we not the most depressed valley in Ohio - if not the country?" McKelvey said.

Can you say "meltdown"?

I think the ballance *may* be starting to tip.  Somewhere along the line there is a critical threshold that is crossed (call it the 'sanity line') where people suddenly get a flash insight of "This shit isn't working anymore."

We may be near that point where the Dems (read: Socialists) have pushed things far enough to the left that it's FINALLY getting through to people that we're in mortal danger of losing this Nation.

I REALLY hope that's the case.  <crosses fingers>

Bush has the election in the bag.  All he has to do is make sure he doesn't screw something up before Nov 2 and it's his.  sKerry is such an idiot, all but the other total idiots can see right through him!
