Left. Then consider the arrogance of Kerry protesting a group that was
kick-started by $250K from a Texas developer, and went on to raise about
$1.5 Million in the last several days.

The McCain-Feingold Act which suppresses political statements, and leaves
the door open for these 527s, should be repealed. In addition to being a
massive suppression of First Amendment rights, it's the ultimate expression
of the "political elite" class; these guys have been having their fannies
kissed and been sucking the perks so long in D.C. they don't like being
criticized, so they slid that one past a compliant Supreme Court.

Kerry 527s have already SPENT $63+ million, they have raised much more to spend. I saw an estimate yesterday that Kerry 527s would spend total between $90-100 million alone before the election.

According to the recent NYT article and an ABC news radio report I heard last night the democrat 527 groups have spent  $145 million so far this year and account for 87% of the soft money contributions in this campaign. Also on the democrat side there are DNC members who sit on the controling bodies of some 527's like ACT (americans coming together) and others who of course claim that they have not shared plans/strageties with the DNC and vice versa (SURE!).
