Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help/advice on shipping rifle to self in new state?

I have a buddy who moved out of state.  His father passed away and he now has about 20 rifles and shotguns that he has to transport.  They are currently in Colorado and he now lives in Oregon.  They are stored in Colorado.  He will be back here in a while and can ship them out.  What do you guys think is the best way for him to get the guns from here to there legally and with minimum expense.

He should put them in his trunk and drive to Oregon.

Drive Them.

Trying to transfer FFL would be a NIGHTMARE because he isn't a resident of either state in their eyes until months have passed...   He should just put them in the car and drive them.  There really isn't an option B in my mind.
