Exaggerating or lying: 46% That is brutal.

It's even worse than that -- notice the large fraction of people who didn't choose one of the listed categories, and are obviously in either the "no opinion" or "not sure" responses. This means that fully 61% of respondents didn't feel comfortable saying that Kerry was telling the truth.

Honesty is no longer a required trait for our politicians.

I believe that the reason many of the people in the early years of our country idolized and embraced our leaders was because they felt that they could intrinsically trust that they were leading them HONESTLY......

Ironically the unofficial campaign slogan has been "Bush lied", and it has stuck better than any of the official slogans they have used.

Now I guess we can say "Kerry lied".

I'm talking ALL the way back.......when a politicians "message" only got out by those folks he actually spoke to.....think Washington -- Jefferson -- Adams, etc......
