I don't have cable at home, but I was watching at a resturant on a business trip. High stakes and some serious bluffing going on.

Its not for everyone.  Just like Neckcar err Nascar isnt for everyone.

I find it mildly entertaining.... if nothing else is on, i can live with watching poker.

Then again... poker is huge around where I live.

I like it because it's a study in human nature. You see the cards and see if the guy is bluffin' or if he really has a hand. Plus, there's the money factor. I wish I had half the money those guys lose at the table each night.

No sunglasses should be allowed, if your a truly good bluffer

I play a bit, and enjoy the games on TV.  World POker Tour and the World Series of Poker have some very exciting action.

I could never understand this.... until i watched it. Now my wife watches it too.

Seems like people who would like to someday visit Las Vegas, or frequent Vegas tend to find it interesteding.

If you have no desire to go to Vegas (even just to see the sites) then you probably will not enjoy the show.

Because it's easy to imagine yourself playing hands of cards for six figure pots.  Many of those people on tv have only been playing for a few years.

One of the few interesting programs on the tube anymore, a total mind game.  The Travel Channel has the best coverage.

I'm not "IN" to into it, but I've watched it a bit and I would watch it anyday over golf.
You could learn a few things from watching the play, I guess.

but then again, I don't watch too much tv.

I like it but my family plays a lot of poker together. The pots are impressive and it is amazing to see so much money change on a combination of luck and skill.

I like the good female players and I hate Gus Hanson and Daniel Lanwa(sp?).
