I jus built a computer with better Motherboard, P4 2.8, GeForce Vid. blah blah blah.

But ive been playing BHD some, but thats kinda old. I like RTCW, that had some scary parts, finally beat it. So, im lookin for a progressive game like RTCW that is kinda scary and exciting.

So whats out there? Thanks for viewing.

If you've got even a crappy surrond sound setup on your computer, Doom3 is really tops. Fantastic atmosphere. I find myself walking, then stopping before I go around a corner. And keep hearing footsteps after mine stop. Freaks me out. Fun game.

Honestly system shock 2 is the spookiest game I've ever played.

It is a bit dated now, but still is great.

doom is always good too, although ive never really been scared by doom, too busy having fun.. :D

First time I played Half Life it made me jump out of my chair a few times. Those damn things seem to come out of nowhere

Same with AvP. Those damn aliens jump at you.

Another vote for Aliens vs. Predator 2. You can find the Gold edition with expansion pack for $20 or less. It's the only game I've ever played where I just about jumped out of my chair and knocked the keyboard off of my desk. Play it in a dark room.

System Shock 2 is also great.

Both are older with the graphics not being the greatest, but they are awesome.

Alien vs Predator 1 & 2
System Shock 2 (if you can play System Shock 1, it's great but also hard to get working on modern Windows XP machines)
Doom 3
Far Cry

On Alien vs Predator 2 though, everytime I play the Marine, despite always knowing full well when you are about to make first contact with the aliens, I always get so fucking creeped out and hyped up and jittery just before and all during that first fight and ever one after. It's a rush.

Like others mentioned, if you don't mind older games, System Shock2 is one of the best FPS ever, very creepy too. AvP (the first one) is also great. AvP2 is good, but doesn't live up to the original.

My vote goes to DOOM 3!!! THE spookiest computer game EVER made to date!

There are also TONS of mods out there for weapons, etc., already...

Once you're getting into the game, you'll quickly realize why many people are quickly calling it "FLASHLIGHT 3"

It sure is a kickass game, and it gives you a TON of appreciation for modern weapon-mounted flashlights, and will make you want to at least carry a Surefire or other flashlight when you carry your CCW gun... The game sure got me thinking.

Acually played the turkey puncher game to about 10,300 pts. Was hoping there would be some cool Easter egg at 10K. Unfortunately, I'll never get that time back :-(

Oh wait, yeah, there's a Easter egg at 100K pts. SUPER COOL! I know you are dying to see it :-)

Doom 3 is pretty scary for the first couple hours, after that it gets kinda repetitive.

AvP 2 scared me about as much. Marine camp. to be specific. It's a different type of scary then Doom3 though. Doom3 is more suprise ya and make ya jump. AvP is more.....see a blip on your motion tracker and see it getting closer...and closer...then hearing the hissing and screaming then getting jumped by a few aliens.

I still see Sanitarium at Wal-Mart occasionally for about $10.00. That game was released in 1997 and still plays good and looks better than alot of newer games.

Die Tryin - sounds silly, but I have found the time to play Doom 3 and it IS scary. I won't spoil anything, but certain portions are more like a movie, you hear whispers, pick up PDAs with messages; e mails, etc. In one part you have to go online to find an answer...well worth 50 bucks.

Alien vs. Predator 1 (yes thats old one) with Marine on medium~hard difficulty. I played this game crap load of times but still get scared at times.

FYI, AvP 1 is about 300% as more scary as the 2nd one.

I played through doom 3 and was disappointed. It was a great tech demo but repetitive, and very single minded on brainless gore. My pulse barely went up during my ~10 hour play through it. Good if you can get it in bargin bin prices but not worth $50.

Scary game...there's that Olsen Twins Licensed to Drive out for one of the consoles iirc.

Another vote for Alien vs Predator. Playing the Marine is like playing the movies. I could only play it like 30 minutes at a time before getting too jumpy. I played it at midnight with the lights off once and my nerves were shot! GREAT GAME!

UPDATE.

I got DOOM3. i was dissapointed with the fact that it is LAggy, I had to turn down my Graphics and overclock computer to take some lag out

my set up is P4 2.8ghz, GeFOrce 256mb Vid, ASUS MB, and uber case with cool neon lights. lol.

But the game is scary that is for sure, turn up the sound and play in the dark, The monsters are kinda predictable, but there is ALOT to do in this game, Im jus beginning it, but lots of fun. I havent tried the multi player section of this, may try that.
