You have got to be kidding me.  I would assume you would have to use blanks right?

I can build that thing in 1/2 hour with some Electrical piping.

Isn't that a KB waiting to happen?

You use blanks, people...

Haven't you ever seen a grenade launching attachment?

BOOOM!!!  "FORE!"

Wonder if barrel length will effect the length of the "drive"....

Oh no... a whole new ARFCOM can of worms.

"What twist rate should I use to simulate a 9 Iron?"

"If I use a 16" barrel with a Spalding ball, can I get 350 yds out of it?"

"I'm getting too much bounce on the green, should I switch to a 20" barrel?"

Get an adjustable gas port, and you don't have to worry about the barrel/distance thing.
Just figure out where to set it at for different ranges.
You can even have a putting setting.
I really wanted to build an upper to do this for my old companies outing.
They wouldn't let me drive the beer cart and I hate golf.
My biggest question is: Do you yell Fore or Fire in the Hole when you tee off?
No divots but remember to police your brass.

I bet the balls " core " would be a huge factor in the drive length.

Cheap and fun anti-personel round comes to mind.

so who is gonna buy one and give a "range report"

LOL...

My guess is that putting with an AR15 would be a real challenge!

My guess is that you'd have to switch 'clubs'.  My bag would have a 11.5" (putter), 14.5" (wedge), 16" (7 iron), 18" (5 iron), 20" (3 wood), 24" (driver).

I'm prolly wrong, but wouldn't one get more distance out of a shorter barrel?  Just makes sense

We need a range report

i'm going to dremmel some deep groves in that thing to get more backspin.

Of course, you'll have to paint the number on the GFA...

"Hand me the 5 iron gun, would ya?"

"A standard GI blank will propel a golf ball in excess of 500 Yards!"

I've got one.  'Causes a helluva' commotion on the first tee.  Really shortens up the par 5's too.

It's a real hoot.  It'll blast a ball over 500 yards.  They don't fly that straight, more 'wiggily', but out of sight.

This is WAY OLD!  I can't believe no one here remembers it.

I'm a loser for being here too long!

I remember it from the past and we had those talks and a review or two here years ago...  I do think one would be fun and I may try to build one some day.

Length of the CUP will affect the range of the shot...

Not BBL length...

Also, the gas port on the rifle would have minimal effect...

You'd have to put with the stock (butt-stroke)...

OK, so we need one for the AR-15 and one for the AR-10

I have a range report!

I don't own one, but a guy had one at the last MG Shoot!!!

It is awsome!!!   I am not sure about the 500 yard quote, but it shure does launch them far!    They come flying out, and they really bounce well if you fire it into the ground about 25 yards out.   They were blasting cars with them at 100 yards.   The golf balls would hit the car and go straight up!   It attracted alot of attention and looked like  a hell of a lot of fun!

Actually, I think barrel length would make a big difference.  A shorter barrel would have a higher pressure spike than a longer barrel, which should result in longer range.

HA!  I didn't think of that..... WELL DONE!
