Shortly after reading the following e-mail content, I happened to look at the label of a jar of Heinz sandwich slice pickles. Yep.... Made in Mexico"  Check some of your Heinz products.
"Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them. He is right, because
that has happened. However, he is trying to blame it on George W. Bush.  As far as I know, Bush has not  moved one factory out of this country because he is not the owner of a  single  factory.  That cannot be said about Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry.

> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Kerry's own 32 factories in Europe and 18 in Asia and the Pacific.   In addition, their company, the Heinz Company, leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia.  Also, they own 27 factories in North America,
some of which are in Mexico and  the Caribbean. 80% of Heinz products are made overseas.  I wonder how many hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when these  plants relocated in foreign countries. I also wonder if the workers  in  Mexico and Asia are paid the same wages and benefits as workers in the  United States.  Of course they're not.
However, Kerry demands that other companies that  relocate should pay the same
benefits they did in the U.S. Why does he not demand this of the Heinz Company,
since he is married to the owner?   If Kerry is elected, will he and his wife close all those foreign factories and bring all those jobs back to America? Of course they won't. They're making millions off that cheap labor.

I find it hard to believe that the BIG trust fund from which they derive income has no stock in Heinz.  I have no knowledge of the makeup of the trust's investments, and would be too lazy to dig it up, but would certainly expect they still would have stock.  And, the issue is not NOW, but when the decision was made to move the plants!

I just looked in the fridge. There is a bottle there that says  Mfg. USA

Pepsi, Coke and everybody else bottles in local plants all over the world.  Want to know why?  It's heavy. Do you really think you can make ketchup overseas, ship it across the world and sell it for .69 a bottle?

Sometimes.  Not always.

True, not wise when it involves telephone service or tech support.

Ketchup from Heinz is made in Fremont, Ohio and Stockton, California

edited to add Muscatine, Iowa

The cap on the bottle tells you where it is made

The F is Fremont and the M for Muscatine, Iowa

It tells the year and the date and the hour that the production was made

That would not be FRENCH'S Mustard, would it? LOL

The makers of French's Mustard made the following statement:

"We at the French's Company wish to put an end to statements that our
product is manufactured in France. There is no relationship, nor has
there ever been a relationship, between our mustard and the country of
France. Indeed, our mustard is manufactured in Rochester, NY.
The only thing we have in common with France is that we are both yellow."

She has nothing to do with the company anymore.

ketchup is and it is not  made in fremont ohio any more , all the farmers that grew for heinz don't do it no more. heinz is trucking in the puree and cooking it into ketchup,I don't know if it is bottled in fremont or not but i can tell you that a lot of people lost their job at the heinz plant in fremont

also remember she was only connected to heinz by marriage
someone beat me to posting that most food is made in the country it's sold in, so it makes sense for heinz to have off shore factories

Yeah the Ketchup is still made in Fremont, Ohio

I went to Applebee's tonight and had a Baby Back Rib Dinner along with some fries.

The bottle of Ketchup on the table was a new bottle of Heinz from Fremont

How do I know it is from Fremont?  The cap tells me so...

CAP ID as follows: FR4G17 C

F Fremont

4 2004

G July

17 17th of the month

C third hour of production

July 17th, 2004 from Fremont, Ohio

OK now Fremont, Ohio is in the United States and NOT Overseas

Heinz Ketchup virtually all of it is from the United States (some Canada) Canada is not overseas
