It's not a BR, so you can let it live.

I thought it was really odd that the two consecutive posts were exact opposites.

I had a dream last night that I killed one of those big ass banana spiders that people were showing in one of the other threads. I tried catching it with a cup, but instead kinda sorta cut it in half with the lip of the cup against the ground!

Cool pic. Sometimes nature as it occurs is better than any faked pose.

With that said, that looks like those cool spiders that build those really pretty (and effective!) webs around my house. I see them a lot, especially in the late Summer and early Fall. Since they are a thick spider and obviously not a recluse, I usually let them live. But I hate like hell to step outside at night and walk face first into those friggin webs they make. They are damn near strong enough to catch human size critters in them.

Yeah , those are some pretty cool pics. I kind of have a love/hate relationship with spiders. Kind of the same with people. When I was a kid , we used to shoot spiders with a Daisy Red Rider B.B. gun. After we ran out of spiders we would shoot each other. Long before paint ball don't cha know? take care . Coondog

I see your whimpy ass spider and raise you a Florida grasshopper. Note: this guy is about 10" long and landed on my window while I was working on my computer.

My grass hopper would eat your spider for dinner.

If you want to see some BIG ASS SPIDERS, I can get you some pics.

About the spider pics, post 'em here.

I mainly liked my picture for the composition. A bigger spider would have been much nicer but we don't get many big spiders around here (SE OH).
