It looks like the 25MM from a Bradley. Never seen it mounted that way. Necessity is the mother of invention!!!

The pilot's gonna love the muzzle blast from that setup.
I hope they test fire it on the ground first to see if that window holds up. Now that's what I call a "strap on." |

Looks nearly 20 mm - possibly an adapted XM301 from a Comanche minus the fairing? It's hard for me to tell if it's a triple barrel but it looks like it. Not a Bushmaster 25mm or a .50 I reconize.

I concur, looks like a 25mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun to me

Barrel definitely looks like a Bradley 25mm gun. If anybody can give us details, please post. I have never seen this set-up before.

M242 Bushmaster 25mm - nope unless they've got a very different barrel on the thing.
 I'm guessing the XM301 as the barrels are 5'4" long and there are three of them. But the picture has a different barrel end treatment  Looking at the breach it's different too - strike the XM301 guess. |

Thats not a Blackhawk its a Seahawk and that is a Mk 44 Bushmaster II 30mm Chain Gun.
Thats probably the mine warfare kit for the new MH-60S "Knighthawk" naval multi-mission helicopter.

It is part of the Rapid Airborne Mine Clearence System (RAMICS) . The weapon is an ATK Mk 44 (Bushmaster II). It's a 30mm.
