And to reverse the equation, If HK built a AKM would I buy one?
 I already know CAMPY wouldn't buy a overpriced, over engineered German Kalashnikov. Besides they would probably "tighten the tolerances" and that would really piss him off.

Oh, and even IF Izmash made a crappy Lorcin, CampyBob would post about how easy it is to make it run right.

If Izmash made a Lorcin it would run out of the box, and probably only cost $5.99 retail, half that wholesale, and yes Campy would adore them.

Actually JP Sauer is German. SIG is Swiss but due to some neutrality thing cannot produce handguns for export. So Swiss designs (SIG) are made in Germany by JP Sauer (SAUER). |

I can't speak for Campybob, but I would be willing to bet that if Izmash built the Lorcin, they would work! And they wouldn't fall apart in your hands. Plus, they'd still be the same price!

Negative. I passed on the SL8 and USC. I'd probably pass on a semi XM8 but I honestly don't think it will be an issue. Now a HK SKS.....hmmmmm. If you took some of the slop out of it and increased the LOP then I probably would buy one. After all I got half a dozen Kalshnikovs at least. |

so true! wel, i do own an izhevsk/izmash military makarov (and that's NOT pronounced MAK'-ah-rovvvv! it's ma-KOOR-off...lol!) as procured from my friend wolfsburgbob at the akronarmory. i also have one commercial version i bought in 1995. so robust...so uncomplicated...so well engineered...so utterly reliable...so effectively accurate! i AM convinced jsc izhevsk could manufacture a fine jennings/lorcin/davis/hi-point firearm! actually, steyr, i am still awaiting the parts sets for mpik69. grauitous pic of my GERMAN match rifle to follow (i figured even the sauerbratten-eating dogs couldn't screw up a bolt action too badly!  while it's a fine position rifle, for pure accuracy, it will not outshoot my czeckoslovakian 1956 brno no. 4 match rifle that was made by...oh that's right...uneducated peasants from the 3rd world communist shithole! heheh! |
