Half or more of the olympic sports are pansy ass sorry excuses for an olympic event in stark contrast to what the original event by the same name started out as over 1000 years ago.

Used to be just another gymnastics event, like the rope climb in college gymnastics.

So what are the Pansy Sports?  Just curious.

Soon we'll have the X-game "Sports", bungee jumping and base jumping.  Maybe more interesting than the standing broad jump and standing high jump of the Auld Games

That 'walking' race is more like a 'Mincing' race… all the 'runners  walk like a bunch of hip rolling mincing fags…

2000 Sydney Games.   I always thought Olympic baseball was kind of lame and boring.  Does not have a big enough appeal in the world to make it interesting.  Most of the Greek team is U.S. players with what I feel is questionable Greek ancestery in most cases.

Most of the so called sports aren't sports at all in my book.
My three criterias for an event to be a sport.

1. There must be some type of offense.
2. There must be some type of defense.
3. It must be physically demanding.

Non-sports include: shotput, discus, diving, track (where you stay on your own lane; I think there are some where you can block and play defense), gymnastics, skeet shooting...etc.

Well, is there some aspect of defense in that sport? I know it's physically demanding, there is offense, but where's the defense?...unless she doesn't swallow.

The shooting events with defence would be awesome!

Used to have a mate in the cricket team who trampolined.  He was like 2nd best in AUS under 16 at the time.

He was a very dainty guy...

I was just commenting to a friend about how pretty decent the coverage has been so far by showing mostly sports and not tons of those "personal interest stories" about the athletes.  Guess I jinxed myself as they have been half the show tonite.

I'd go full contact with some of those gymnastic gals.

I want to see big mountain skiing in the winter olympics. If there can be gold medals for chicks who get all twirly dancy on ice skates, then there should be gold medals for people who do double backflips off 60ft backcountry cliffs on skis narrowly missing jagged rocks and stomp the landing clean.
