I am thinking about getting one of those huge metal construction site job boxes to store ammo in out in my barn. They are very heavy duty and lockabale. It will be inside the barn so no rain, etc.

Will temp extremes hurt the ammo ?

Heat degrades the ammunition.

Inside the barn should never reach over 95 dgrees.

Cool and dry is what you want. 95 degrees is hot for long term storage.

If you don't plan on it sitting there for more than a month it should be Ok though.  Keep in mind that the Job Box might be a tad to well contructed, IE if something goes wrong you have a real big firecracker.
