(AP) Three masked robbers apparently armed with a grenade launcher held up an armored moeny transport and made off with at least $880,000, police said Tuesday, May 29.

Riding in two stolen cars, the robbers ran the armored van off the road in a Duesseldorf suburb Monday night and forced the two guards to hand over three boxes of cash.

A shot was fired during the robbery, but no one was hurt, a police spokeswoman said, adding that the robbers threatened the guards with what appeared to be a grenade launcher.  The robbers fled in one of the cars.

Three similar armored car robberies have occurred in the region since 1997, including two in which the assailants toted a grenade launcher, North Rhine-Wesphalia state police said.  None of those crimes have been solved."

So there you have it, boy-howdy.  We need to ban all of these Mk 19s running around.
