My Sony 32" Trinitron keeps turning itself off.It will turn back on but will shut its self off about 20-30 minutes later.
Before I blow $75 to have it looked at do any of you electronic wizards have any experience with this sort of thing and point me in the right direction. Any Idea what the problem is and what it would cost to get fixed? Arfcomers dont fail me now!!

check and make sure the timer on the tv itself is not on

Yeah I checked that already.I should of mentioned its not always 20- 30 minutes but sometimes 5 min. and hour etc.

Could be a thermal shutdown, any 'hot' electronic smells coming from the back? Check the troubleshooting section of the manual, there may be other 'features' you may have overlooked.

I knew I could count on you guys for a good answer.  At least it isnt leaking the clear Gel that has Demonized some of the Acogs that board members have. |
