I've finally lost the weight my doctor told me to, and got down to 199-200#s. I've got an appointment with him on Monday the 23rd to get weighed and schedule my surgery.
I'm getting the whole prostate removed, in hopes of getting all the cancer at once.

Well, it's taken a lot of phone calls, faxes, tests, etc., but here's the latest;

I finally got my surgery scheduled. It's going to be done on October 20th, at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. The surgeon there is #1 in the country at this new robotic/laporoscopic surgery, so I'm going to fly up there and have him do it. I'll be there for a week, to make sure nothing pops loose or gets infected.
During duck season, and right before deer season,

bit it was the first open date.

I'm looking forward to having it over with.

A healthy body recovers quickly.

Now don't harp on this, i know it will be tough not to think about it,
but really, just take it easy.

Thanks everyone. When I get back from Detroit I'll post how I'm doing.
The prayers mean a lot to me. I can't even remember all the instances I've seen prayers answered, and I'm firmly convinced God helps us when we ask Him to. (As long as it fits His over-all plan).

Good luck on your surgery- This from a guy who had his prostate removed May of last year. If you want to talk about it, what to expect recovery wise or anything else- Send me an e-mail. Again- good luck with the surgery- hope they get all the nasty.
