I do believe in the power of prayer and the more requests the better I was always taught, so I thought I would turn to you guys for help. Here's the deal. My sister in laws nephew was on vacation this week in Delaware. He was body surfing and the wave flipped him, broke his neck and paralyzied him from the neck down. He cannot talk nor move any part of his body. In order to communicate they go through the alphabet and he blinks when they reach the letter he needs. This kid was 18 and had his whole life ahead of him. He is now worse than Christopher Reeve, as Chris can at least speak. The kid is getting really frustrated and we need some prayers for him and his family. Here's the deal, I know God can heal him, but at this point the docs operated for 8 hours and say there's a15 percent chance he might get use of his arms. If the kid has to be in a wheel chair, so be it. But I'm asking you guys to pray for this kid to at least regain his speach and use of his hands. Without either, death might have been a kinder option. Thanks guys. His name is Josh Basile.

What the docs are saying is 15% chance he may regain the use of his hands. They never mentioned speach. Not sure if that's good or bad that they didn't mention it.

UPDATE!!!!

Prayer works boys!!! The Lord does indeed hear and answer. In the last week Josh has moved his arm, (not his hand) but we'll take it and he also can talk now!!!! It's barely above a whisper but again, we'll take it. Doc's say it is a VERY GOOD sign but still need to wait months to see what type of improvement can be expected. For those of you familar with this type of trauma, those are both excellent signs for this kids recovery. I think it shows that the spinal cord is still somewhat intact.

Now I need you guys to thank God for answering those prayers you all sent!!

Great news. Continued prayers from here.

After you click Edit and make your changes, you have to click Submit or Save Changes, something like that. Eachh board uses different terminology.

It's "Submit".
