Of course. When the cost of just one of my guns was more than a nice safe it made too much sense to buy one. I have three insurance policies to cover them too.
You're more likely to have them destroyed in a fire vice getting them ripped off. |

He is referring to the fact that ANY ELECTRONIC LOCK on a safe can be rendered useless (read: PERMANENTLY LOCKED) if a nuclear weapon was detonated over the US. Read the post. Scared the shit out of me ! |

I imagine the EMP theory has merit, but I would be more concerned with the thief removing the electronic lock face, phoning in the serial # on the back, under guise of being a locksmith, and getting the combination.
Mine is mechanical, as per the KISS theory. |

Some guy from TFL said that you could ground the safe and install a metal shield covering the entire lock. It might protect the lock but it's really not known.
