Living in Mass I'm sure whatever passes in Connecticut will soon spread to Mass.

What do I need to do?  Obviously write my local politicians.

Should I buy up some lowers and ammo?  Stock up?  Try to buy some ARs from private parties?

Help.

Move.

Someone suggested to me once before.  Move to TX.

I think that is the mentality that has gotten us here in the first place.

There is no question in my mind that the Mass pistol laws and Cali bans will eventually make it to every State.

Moving is only a temp. solution.

If you want to help call (800) 842-1423(number for the house reps.) Tell them you're against SB1402. They're not asking where your from.   [):)]

Things to do:

1.  Join NRA/GOA/JPFO/etc.
2.  Write and call your local/state/federal representatives.
3.  Get friends to join NRA/GOA/etc.
4.  Write letters to the editor.
5.  Give money to gun-friendly politicians.  The gun-grabbers spend tens if not hundreds of millions per year and are funed by billionaires!

Either that, or the "re-grouping" strategy is overrated.

If people acted on their principles, and moved to a pro gun state where we could "re-group," marshall our forces, then we could make a stand. But spread out all over the country, we've got NO CHANCE.

But no. People have cushy jobs, don't wanna move away from family or friends, want the comforts they are accustomed to. To them, it is UNTHINKABLE that they would change their lifestyle based on the principle of firearms ownership.

But hey - they TALK a good game.

Heck, the original hearing in the CT legislature about this defacto gun ban, and almost NO ONE from this board went to the hearing. GOD FORBID they should give up a days pay to stand for liberty. And YES, I do believe MOVING to a RKBA state is THE way to STOP the ANTIS. Regroup. Marshall our forces. )

Writing your local politicians is probably not going help at this point.  Conn anti-gun zealot Sen. Chris Dodd is the east coast equivalent of Boxer/Fienstein of the west coast as he help write the GCA 68.

You should campaign against the anti-gunners and for the pro-gunners in the next election.  By the time a law starts to affects you personally, you are pretty in trouble.

Even if you accumulate the banned guns etc, you have to register them if you want to shoot them, if you don't want to register them, then...  I am not sure what use to you to have a bunch of unreg'd guns that you can't shoot.

Moving is only a temp solution.  "you can run, but you can't hide."

Spitting into the wind, IMO.

Eventually you come to realize that the phlegm on your face is your own.

That said, we all fight the battle in our own ways. But we could still use MORE good patriots down here, where they battle can still be won.

The battle is sitll up in the air here. If we had 75% pro-second amendment voters here in SC, HOW would they get anti gun legislators elected?? No anti0gun legislators, NO anti-gun legislation. Then if the Fed gov't steps in tyrannically, we could muster quickly to take corrective action. How we gonna do that if you are in Hawaii, and I'm in SC????


But either way, 20-30 years of freedom is WORTH IT.

Well I just wrote my State Rep, Sen. and our lovely Gov Jane Swift to express my outrage.  I also just spent some more money at the NRA gift shop, signed up my fiance and father.

I'd move south if it wasen't full of southerners ;-)

Stay, get involved and fight back...plus all of the above.

Here on the left coast "I know your pain." Believe me the next round is 50 BMG, "sniper rifles,"(anything with a scope over 4x) "junk guns," and it has even been discussed to lower the mag limit to (6).  At least 1911 guys will be happy ..   These folks want you disarmed ...

If you spend all your time and energy bitching on web sites like this, you're merely preaching to the choir.  Use some of that energy writing your elected officials (and I don't mean form letters), join the NRA, also your state and/or local firearms organizations, and don't be afraid to write a letter to the editor now and then.  For a good guide to dealing with politicians check out crpa.org.  Attend your annual "Friends of NRA" dinner to show your support.  At our recent FONRA dinner here in Bakersfield, CA, we had a sellout with 450 attending including several local politicos. Raised a bunch of cash.  So much for my $.02 worth.      

Write legislators, the local papers. Join NRA, GOA, etc. RUN FOR OFFICE. We need more pro gun rights people in office. That's what I'm going to do.
