There already were 2 units the 173rd Airborne Brigade along with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment as well as 1 rotational brigade to Poland so this is really just 2 more brigades than before the war. as 1 brigade - 1st brigade 1st infantry division returned to Kansas last summer. There’s also a sustainment brigade and aviation brigade too https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2022/12/30/new-in-2023-us-troops-in-europe-to-continue-deployments-training/

And here comes the next Forever War.
Now lets see if the chickenhawk sabre rattlers that back the Goblin King will send their kids off to die for him. I mean, if it's for "democracy and freedom". Just look at all the good we did in Afghanistan after all that money and lives lost. |

Nope. We should not be doing this.
Ukraine should be *BUYING* our weapons and that’s about it |

Can't we invade all the terrible Caribbean islands and fix those first? Cuba is literally a paddle boat ride away.

We don't have a draft any more, and kids can't sign up for the military. It's all adult professionals who volunteered. |

I would have sold my soul for a Poland deployment. Beats the crap out of the Sinai.

Quoted: Yeah and how are those recruiting numbers doing these days? View Quote Slower, now that we're not at war. I was in part of the last war, and I remember your scummy little trick firsthand because I heard it before leaving and after coming back. It's probably been used in every debate about war since the machinegun. You call the grown men who signed on a dotted line, killed, and died children to degrade them, because you know recognizing their moral agency would force you to argue from an impolitic position. Be honest. Show some respect and call American soldiers vile NATO mercenaries, redcoats, jackboots, or bluehelmeted blackmasked agents of globohomo; but don't pretend they didn't volunteer. |

How is this any different to the training that happens every year.
My buddy has been to Poland training with tank crews twice in the last 6 years. Seems to be normal European war game stuff. Increased presence due to a nearby conflict isn't exactly unusual. Poland has good reason to be prepared and practice with American armor. |

Man, I'm old enough to remember back when we had big, active Army bases all over Germany. Hell, I lived on some as a kid.

Absolutely loved it, even though i was a kid. Im guessing we still have people assigned there. My son went to the Baltic region with the Marines several years ago. 2nd of the 8th. He got out before going to Norway or someother cold place like that. I would imagine we still have a presence there. |

The "victims" do not want peace as they are benifeting to much from being victims.
This is why this never ends, it a dichotomy. |

The more troops we have overseas the fewer we have here to fuck with us. I imagine they will keep a force in dc for the next insurrection though.
