I thought about that.  I’d like a powerful airgun, but feels dirty, like a felon.

Just picked up a black powder pirate blaster at an estate thing. Payed and the one lady goes doesn't he need to do the form thing? Guy says nah its ancient from before the form thing. Paid my $30 and left, small town sales are the best!

A cat and an air horn. Throw the cat at the target and it'll stick to it out of surprise. Honk the air horn and the cat will make an explosive departure and leave their entire upper body looking like they got in a bar fight with Wolverine. Ask me how I know

I have claws like Wolverine. They’re really cool. I use them to shred smoked pork. Because I’m super bad ass. But I have to be careful when I piss or I might accidentally slice my pecker.

How creative do I get to be?

I have plenty of weapons that first glance, would hide in plain view because that is not their intended use.

Obvious non-firearm weapons would include knives, pepper spray, some weaponlights, axes, etc.

Crossbow, knives, axes/hatchets and I used to have some cheap swords but I gave those away a while ago.  Someday I want to get a good medieval mace.

This has me wondering about the deadliness of a blowgun - no poison.

Can you hit a target the size of a man’s eye?
View Quote

An eye at 10 yards would be challenging but do-able.
Not on an aggressive moving target, though.

More of a small game 'weapon' than self-defense.

That guard rail nut still makes me laugh. It inspired me to buy a few "monkey fist" with a ball bearing inside made from paracord.

I say this all the time. "What? Cant bring in my pocket knife because it is a 'weapon?' You know I could just strangle you with my shirt if I wanted too, right? Or maybe even yours..."

A literal shit ton of knives. Like, a bewildering, alarming amount of knives. A disturbing amount of knives.

A couple of tomahawks, to which I plan on adding more.

It's somewhere in Fiskar's Axe, Machete and Maul catalog.

Didn't occur to me until after I got it how effective of a weapon it would be. Nearly anything on that page would be pretty
worrisome at short ranges.

Hatchet, tomahawk, hammers, knives, compound bow.

Been thinking of making a garrote out of spare braided fishing line and a dowel rod. But that's kinda weird.

Holy fuck, I have 11 balisongs! Tried seeing how many knives I have......yeah, too many to count. Half of them are Kennesaw Cutlery/BudK . I was an inexperienced young man. Karambit, kunai, giant bowies, Italian stiletto, fancy dagger reminiscent of a Sykes only crappy, SOG boot knife I use to scratch mosquito bites, 3 different ZT's a 450G10, 452CF, 609, damascus Boker lockback, etc...Oh shit, I have a drawer full of kitchen knives too! Goddamn it, that is a lot of steel. Got a 22 oz waffle-head, extended shank claw hammer next to the bed too. That should make a point, right?

I have a BUNCH of sets of electric guitar strings. Garrot wire, anyone? I have a bowling pin. You gonna tell the cops you got your ass beat with a bowling pin? No. No you fucking wont. I have a few bars of silver that would make GREAT weapons, especially in a sock. Or even just in the fist. You gonna tell the cops you got your teeth knocked in with a bar of Scottsdale silver? No. No you fucking wont. I have glass and porcelain insulators that would make great weapons. That might get spicy since they're everywhere.

I have a putter that my late grandfather used to carry in his trunk. I suspect it was for beating people and other cars. So yeah, maybe dont break into my place.

I'm a happy owner of a carbon 5 cold steel naval cutless. model of 1917 which is interesting because our navy around ww1 still felt the need of cutlesses.
I like it because it doesn't need ammo just occasional sharpening and oil the blade.

I also like the cold steel smatchet machete I have 2 of those. if you use a blade as a weapon it should be good at both chopping and stabbing. I prefer to use smaller knives as tools though.

another favorite non firearm weapon is a ball peen hammer.
