I know, 2022 ammo prices

Any help would be appreciated

Any that I’ve seen online recently was FULL ON RETARD PRICING.

I enjoy shooting .38 special but have really cut back last couple years.  Good luck finding any at a decent price.  SGammo has PMC for $34 a box of 132 fmj.  I doubt you would be able to find 158 lead round nose or SWC.

.38 Special plinking ammo was expensive, at least compared to 9mm, before COVID.  These days, it’s outrageous.  A couple revolver-shooting friends have long grumbled over prices.

I’ve seen Norma for about $23-$25/box recently.  Good luck.

Norma $25/50, free shipping with $49 order, and 5% off if you sign up for their newsletter first.

Works well for me and the flat tip fmj is much better than lrn if you need it for defense.  $32/50 for hollowpoints.

Even reloaded at today's prices it doesn't seem cheap, about 20 CPR. What was new brass 38spl per round pre-panic? I only bought 9mm and 22 in bulk back then, and remember $180 delivered for 1K blazer brass 9mm and $23 bricks of CCI SV in 2019.

Been shooting a box of Privi Partizan 158gr SWC through a snubbie and it has got to be the dirtiest 38 ammo ever. Barrel leading is pretty awful. Not even a tornado brush is doing anything. I guess I'm going to have to go to the store and buy some Chore Boy pads.

Bit the bullet
Thanks again

4 new .38/357 revolvers since Thanksgiving so I figure I should drop a few hundred bucks on ammo when I spent like $3k on guns lol

38 is never super cheap like 9mm. I'm sure there were some $.30 a round deals but many times it was $.40 and up from what i remember. 357 is twice as bad most of the time. I've stockpiled a bunch of components becuase of it.

I hear ya, I added two boxes of it to an order I made a while back. Was a gut punch that adding a few boxes of range ammo added that much

I sometimes feel bad for those that don't know the joy of having a local Bi-Mart.

Its the only place I buy ammo anymore. Its pretty much always in stock and they removed the limits. I got 200 rounds of Rem UMC 230gr JHP 45AARP for .62cpr yesterday. Some 45LC Critical Defense too.

I've seen 158gr for as low as $25/box. Check out ammoseek.com.
