I don't care for the Ruger so I am between a Browning Buck Mark and a Taurus TX22 Competition. I like that the taurus fits my hand nicely and comes with 3 16rd mags optic ready.

WTF is wrong with you?
You dislike Rugers? TX-22 is a solid choice. It's no Ruger, but hey...good second place. |
|
S&W 422 series are the best hosts.
Prices are creeping up, but are still reasonable. I have a 2206 and a 2213 that I adore. |

I have my Dead Air Mask on a Volqaurtsen Scorpion...couldn't be happier.

A Marvel .22 conversion for a 1911 if you want something a bit different.
I’ve had one for years and I don’t recall an ever failing me. The Ruger 22/45 is still one of the best love or hate it they work perfect. |

Ruger 22/45 lite MKIV
But since you don’t like Ruger, I would recommend the browning buckmark |
|
Have Ruger's and a Browning, but I also have a S&W M&P .22 compact, came with the threaded barrel adapter installed. Shoots real nice.

Buckmark, all day long. Mine wears a TacSol barrel because when I bought it, I wasn't thinking about getting into the tax stamp game, but with the factory barrel it's far more accurate than I am. Hell, even with the TacSol barrel it's more accurate than I am.

Whatever you buy, go ahead and get a M&P 15/22 pistol too. It’s stupid fun.

Nothing like shooting something so quiet the steels louder then the shot. Also grabbed my rpr in 22, want to talk quiet..... Suppressed 22 bolt gun |

View Quote @eye-gor What end plate do you have on that lower? What barrel? That looks really cool! I picked up the "ghost gun" lower from PSA and that would be an awesome build for it! Do you mind giving some specs? |

Browning Buckmark Camper Suppressor model is a tack driver with amazing reliability.

View Quote It is the Spikes w/ QD socket on the end. RTB has 'em cheap https://www.righttobear.com/spike-s-tactical-st22-pistol-plug-black-st2p100/ Since it ends up being rather dedicated (unless you also do a Solo 300 type straight pull bolt action) you may want to also get the slightly different mag catch from RTB as well. Mine is standard milspec and I've no way of really locking the bolt open. Full build - Anderson lower. JoeBob's "Enhanced LPK with no grip option" and a $8 ErgoGrip as a package deal (LOVE the triggers these come with) Anderson no-gate no-FA upper. CMMG conversion kit I was given when a coworker found it in her front yard 4" CMMG/RTB compatible barrel and chamber face thingie from Velocity Firearms in Duluth, MN cheap milspec barrel nut standard A2 flash hider (now have old school 3 prong style, looks much better) Without sights, at 15 yards I could actually hit what I was aiming at if I could get the rail flat and level to use as a point of reference. For giggles I put a set of fixed UTG "Slim" sights on it, with the larger aperture in place they are actually usable at arms length. Considering putting a dot or a scope on it to just see what kind of real accuracy is possible with it - using the irons it can certainly keep up with my Buckmark. Though this is really more of an indication of my poor skills wtih iron sight pistols. |

I already have a Buckmark and a CZ 455 — I’m thinking my next host will be an M&P 15-22 pistol. Been trying to resist buying one for awhile but might pull the trigger soon.

If a rifle, the Winchester Wildcat.
Mine cycles with CCI Quiets. And it has reliably run every type of banana mag I own. Even Hotlips, |

Kinda meh suppressor but it works ok and the Buckmark runs fine suppressoed. |

Never used it with a suppressor but I've been very happy with my M&P compact .22 lately.

Is this where I say a gsg 3" 1911 22 model?
Even with federal bulk pack, it's subsonic. With the weight of a can and 14 rounds, it even feels like a real 1911. Well, still not as heavy. |
|
I really love the Mk IV, but if I were to buy today I'd be looking at reliability and capacity.
My list for my next .22 host looks like this, and probably in this order. Sig P322 TX22 FN 502 Glock 44 KelTec CP33 KelTec P17 There's something about a stubby though... I still have the 22/45 light upper w/red dot, but mostly shoot with the 2.1" upper. |
|
Damn, thanks, dude. Mine is in the affected serial number range.
