Don't like vinegar based hot sauces.

While on spring break in AL a few months ago, I tried this for the first time and was impressed:

Standard go to. There are other hot sauces that go better with different types of foods.

That said. I have an opened bottle and an unopened bottle of Texas Pete at all times. Plus a bunch of random packets

Hamajang. Hamajang is by far the best commercially produced hot sauce available.

I don't know? Is there another one with the name Texas in it?

The Hot Ones Classic is very good.  It has a ton of flavor, but not too much heat.

To be honest, the type of hot sauce I grab will depend on what I am putting it on.

hipster shit

Probably drinks juicy IPAs too.

Louisiana hot sauce is best on fried catfish.

Cholula has a habanero version that kicks butt but not too spicy.

There is a green hot sauce in all of the taquerias here, I think it's Guatemalan though.

Yes, the even hotter version. It the absolute best of the "table" hot sauces.

I'm partial to Franks.

Good flavor, but not really hot.   My days of eating hot shit for fun are over.

Texas Pete, Louisiana, and Crystal are all solid choices in terms of your basic hot sauce.

Came here to make this same thread.  You’re pretty cool OP.

There are probably a dozen different bottles of hot sauce sitting in my kitchen counter.

I like the Texas Pete hotter hot sauce.

Ironically, Texas Pete is made in North Carolina.

Currently feeding off the .5gal jug. It makes a great base for wing sauce.

Compared to other low budget hot sauces like Red Devil, Louisiana, and Frank’s Red Hot, it’s the clear winner. They’re all more salt than spice though.

Lately I've been enjoying Florida Man hot sauce,... wet work specifically.  Highly recommend picking some up if they aren't sold out.

For me it’s frank. Nothing better as basic hot sauce. I don’t like anything to hot and I still want to taste the food and other spices. Texas Pete is ok oh.

I got tired of Cholula so I tried El Yucateco.   Both are equally good and have their place.

Salsa Huichol(green) is my favorite, but hard to find locally.

Texas Pete Ingredients. Vinegar, Aged Peppers (Peppers, Salt, Vinegar), Water, Xanthan Gum and Benzoate of Soda (To Preserve Freshness and Flavor).

Tobasco for me.  Lowest salt, less weird ingredients.

Mine too.

When I moved from Texas to NC in the early 80s none of my friends could believe I'd never heard of Texas Pete. They just assumed we drank it like water here.
