As most of you know, Joker1 is in hospital.
There are arfcommers who are and who will be looking after Mark's dogs. But dogs will need to be adopted. Before anything can happen, we need to catalogue the dogs and get their pictures online. So if anyone here is interested in a SFDR dog, please indicate your interest in this thread. |

I’ll take Sox.
Already have two of his rescues, so I’m vetted ( pun intended). |
I’m in the Louisville area and can help with transport if needed.
Put me down to help with transportation. I can’t take another dog right now. I am available to go about 4-5 in any direction from US218&US34 interchange.
I'm in too. I'm another "pre-vetted" Semper-Fi Rescue alumni.
I'm partial to German Shepherds (and my wife liked Jackson), but something smaller may be good too. |
I am normally good with transport. I am tied up until mid May but after that I am more flexible
Live near 75 outside of Atlanta. Happy to help run dogs south. ~6hrs max driving time if possible but flexible.
Easy pickup spot for me is Knoxville to London for reference. Edited: already have two of his rescues so I can’t take a permanent placement. Just transport |
OST I am a two dog alum of semper fi dog rescue, just like fluffy.
These will be great dogs, folks. Adopt with confidence. |
I'm already vetted, needs to be dog and cat friendly 50 to 60 pounds tops. Other than that don't care. We got room for 1
If you need help cataloging the dogs in a web page with photos and descriptions let me know.

ETA: Kansas City area |
Is there a GoFund to help with expenses? Dallas to El Paso area moving.
In for transport if needed. Currently east of Omaha until mid May then I'll be in the Little Rock area.
I can do the I-10 run from El Paso to Yuma, sorry but I’m not crossing into California.
Prayers for joker1. He's a good man. Keep us updated on his health.
As I posted in the other thread, starting tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon, I am free through the weekend. I am in Kansas, but am willing to drive just about anywhere. If dogs or anything needs shuttled around, someone shoot me a PM. I’d be more than willing to help.
Godspeed, Joker. |
I don't know how much help this is because I'm out of pocket for the next week and a half, but when I get back (first week of may) I could help with transport as I'm not far from Joker, a little over an hour away from his AO. I MAYBE able to adopt. We lost our rescue Doberman last year, just not sure if the wife is ready. I'll be monitoring this and check in when I return to see if I can help.

If they've got a chill older dog (large breeds wanted) that likes to sleep a lot and be fed treats constantly, I might be interested.

View Quote In for 1! I have a dog (rescue) and a cat. Looking for small to medium size. I'm in MA but willing to drive, can make a vacation/road trip out of it. |

I can help with transporting. Located in Northern Colorado. Willing to go into Wyoming and western Nebraska.
I can help transport again. Currently working in Dallas, so every week or so I drive from sw TN to Dallas.

Sox pictures on page 3
From that thread it sounds like Sox is not in Jokers' possession....but I cannot confirm that. |
Joker is one hell of an individual, and he’s been in my prayers since his original post. I’d love to adopt one of his pups, and it was on my list “down the road”, but the timing doesn’t work right right now.
That said I’d help with transport if needed (NY, so doubt I’d be too helpful). Has their been discussions of a gofundme or similar for him? |

As far as transportation... And encase this helps broaden possible adoptees.
I got Bane from mark back in October. He told me when I was it, that there was not a system that worked out to get dogs to california. I dont know how many hours I spent looking for a trust worthy transport, but it was many. The first I went with had many good reviews, sent all info to Mark, we tried them. [$1200]<--thought with the price and reviews he would be safe. They couldn't have F'ed it up worse... Luckily before they had Bane. Pricing is all over the place, and it looked like a lot of unreliable van life types looking to pay for their trip. More hours looking found another that looked good, sent all info to Mark. Mark agreed to try. Mark met them at pickup, said he trusted them, and it worked out perfect. [$650] https://www.facebook.com/sandersonspettransportation/ I think husband wife team. $100 down through paypal, balance on delivery. She sent me an app to track them on the phone. They drive 24 hours trading off. Respond any time texted. I think 3 days from mark in Kentucky to me in northern california. I think they are animal people, not just transport. They took very good care of Bane. And spent enough time with him along the way to complement him the same Mark did. They post their next run map on their face book. Maybe a group run would work out in some way after adoptions are established, OR maybe just add to possible adoptees further out, and people that can't help in any way other than financially could pitch in to get it done?? Hopefully this info helps in some way. |

In for transport from Harrisburg to eastern PA- Scranton, Stroudsburg, Philly.
Previously transported Willow. |
I’m good if a dog heads down towards nola area. I’m good to transport 2 hours each direction. I can’t adopt one as I have 5 dogs, 1 I couldn’t adopt out after rescuing bc she turned out to be dog aggressive. My hands are full with my pack. But I do transport for rescues as time allows, and very temp fostering as a stop gap on transports. I also know paid quality transporters - mostly routes from Texas on towards the east coast and NY areas, so if a need arises, I can ask around.

Fluffy, bless you for stepping up and helping Mark and pups I ended my lurking by helping rescue a GSD from a shelter here in Ft Worth last fall and I'm ready to do whatever I can again. I'm available for transport legs across North/Central Texas.

I can work on transport up in the northeast. If you guys can get a dog to northern New Jersey, I am willing to get them up into New England.
I'll work on the wife for an adoption, we have 2 now, one of which is a Semper Fi doggo. Two pups are already a mess, how bad can a third be? |
