my spin on it is it really doesn't mean anything.  a TPS report is just a representation of all the pointles b.s. paper work that's manditory in a typical office environment.

that's how morons justify their jobs. i find it disgusting that they're always leaving at 4 in their 40k+ vehicles to go to their 500k+ homes while you work late because of all the retarded paper work they cause.  then the next day the asshole tries to tell you how hard being a manager is.

Yep...

It's a commentary on the 'crat factor in corporate/govt operations... 'It doesn't matter what happens, so long as the paperwork's done'...

Hence the inane attention do detail WRT cover sheets & such, and Lumberg telling the consultants that (what's-his-name) who they just recommended be promoted to management isn't that great of an employee solely because his TPS reports aren't up to snuff...

Best example of this would be ISO-9001, which is supposed to ensure 'quality' in your product (if it wern't just another set of reports)...

We find it's always better to fire people on a Friday. Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.
