Let's be honest we could be on the best first date of our lives and we still wouldn't want to appear "too eager".
But while our version of playing it coy involves not texting back straight away, one woman has revealed how she keeps her dates on their toes. Earlier this week, TikTok star and podcast host Sofia Franklyn went viral when she shared her first date ritual. In a viral video that's racked up 2.1 million views, Sofia admitted that she always sends herself a drink from a fake secret admirer so her date knows she's in demand. She wrote: "When I 'got to the bathroom' and pay the bartender to send me an 'anonymous' shot so my date remembers I have options." Sofia then captioned the clip: "Men love some healthy competition!" And that's not the only thing she's done to make a mean jealous before. In the comments, Sofia confessed: "I have def sent myself flowers a time or two." "lmaaaoooo this can work in many situations. The world is your oyster ladies." Needless to say, the tip sparked some healthy debate in the comments with hundreds of women pledging to try it themselves. One replied: "You're an icon." And while a third dubbed it the "art of seduction", Sofia said it's all about "creating love triangles" to bag the guy she wants. That said, the video didn't set well with all viewers. "Why is this not considered toxic," one viewer fumed. "How is this not embarrassing to ask for," another wrote. "OMG I don't think I could." "A bit insecure," a third critic said. Another added: "I'm doing this next time!" https://nypost.com/2022/01/13/i-send-myself-drinks-from-fake-secret-admirers-on-first-dates-so-they-know-im-in-demand/ |

While sex would be great, dealing with the emotional bullshit would never make up. I'd pre-eject before even taking off on that flight.
|
|
And now she has just saved a million guys time and money by letting them know up front that she is crazy.
|
|
|
That's the action of someone with a high sense of self esteem.
That said I'm sure the sex is great. |

So, I've learned: If on a first date with some emotional nutcase, and an anonymous admirer sends my girl a drink, I'll do the following.
I'll watch as she drinks/accepts the shot. Then, I'll tell her I'd like to order for both of us. I'll get the champagne, the lobster, the tenderloin steaks, etc. Yeah, you guessed it: then I'll bail (gotta use the lav, pretty lady, be right back). Vrooom. |

There is no way she isn't a raging cunt. I'd rather jerk off to internet porn, watch "A Bridge Too Far," and then hit the sack early.

I'm sure she's also the "I hate drama and games" type before pretending to go to the bathroom and send herself a drink.
I'll never understand why in our culture shit like this is acceptable and normal for women. |

I mean.
It's a little wonky... but I've definitely seen worse behavior from people in the dating/sex game. As far as gamesmanship goes, that's fairly benign. It wouldn't be an immediate eject. |

I wouldn't play that bullshit at all and no I do not like competition when it comes to women, I'm not playing that game. A quality woman would not have to do any of that shit to keep a quality guy's interest.
If I went out and "someone" was sending her drinks I would think that she either has friends or an ex who are trying to cause trouble, immature, or just stupid. I don't need that in my life. She could redeem the situation by sending it back though. Women bitch and complain about dating, then they pull shit like this or have no personality. I'll tell you ladies, dating you is a shit show too. At least you go into it knowing, or thinking you know, the one thing we want... at least at some point. However, we aren't able to pin down if you want: A fuck buddy, a fling, you are bored with being "single", money, babies, marriage, etc. This all applies to the first few dates of course. |
|
what a self serving bitch.
men have options too. we let them know that by not putting up with their shit. |
|
|
self entitled ho who will wonder loudly why all men are pigs and no quality many will ever want to marry her?
|
|
It would be cheaper to just whip out her tits. If she is trying to just get a guy.

Like she's not already in demand...
She is the definition of demand. L |

Every commercial directed at women plays off this. |

I've actually had a female restaurant manager give me a glass of wine and sit down next to me, while on a date.
Date was NOT amused but we still left together. Went back another time for the manager. |
|
|
I'm going to do this to my wife next time we go out.
But I'll send her the shot from a secret admirer and then act all indignant about it, accuse the bartender of hitting on my wife and then bang the wife unit in the bathroom to re-assert dominance. |
|
I'm sure if a relationship happens she'll stop using jealousy to
control the guy. Power and control is what she wants and will do anything to get it. They want the freedom to whatever they want and not have to suffer the consequences just like a fairy tale princess. |

Men get the advice to flirt with other women in front of their dates to make them jealous. Or wait some number of days before responding. Or whatever. I’m glad I’m married. I don’t play or tolerate nearly enough headgames to be single. |

I always enjoyed the flirting and banter of early dates, and I don't mind girls maintaining a romantic sense of mystery, but I draw the line at deliberate deception. I'd eject. A healthy relationship is not built on the foundation of manipulative dishonesty.

If she was that much in demand she wouldn't have to send herself the drink, some guy would do it.

I'd be loving it and tell her: let your secret admirer know he's picking up the tab and I'm ordering only the best and most expensive dishes for us both, I'm just picking up the tip ??
