If I show up with my Mini-14, will I be laughed out of the meet?

Thats all I have till I move out of CA, that and a few handguns. But will I be accepted at the meet?

Even if I showed up with a GE minigun I would be laughed at. That is why I will be waiting next to the kettle corn stand at the fun show instead.

You can see mine with a Shilen heavy barrel, but I personally will laugh at yours.

Know anything about Mini-14 trigger jobs.  I buffed the sear areas, but the trigger pull is still at 5+lbs, and would like 4lbs.  And I have to do this myself, not a drop in trigger.

Nobody will laugh. No worries. OTOH you will be able to try almost anything you`d like to try. Just tell the owner of said weapon how thats the most beautiful rifle/pistol you`ve ever seen, and you are interested in that fabulous peice of weaponry.
"Want to shoot it"? Is the usual reply.
I think some belt feed are coming and many other types of weapons. Both pistols and rifles, a few shotguns show up and I`ll bring a HK FP6 for the scatter gun crowd. They sell ammo there. Have you seen the link in Meetings and events section?

No problem with mini-14s, 10/22s,.38s, and weird looking people. We only laugh at those who go to the gun show instead of the shoot.

Except, of course, for people that have to work there.
