Hi all,
I've got a friend who wants to sell his 12 GA Rem 870 barrel (26 inches).
Its in fairly good condition but he won't give
me a price. I'm suppose to give him one.

Well, I looked up the Remington site and they
sell the new barrels for the price of a gun.
I could not believe this!!!!!!
Must be some mistake.

If it helps, its the standard barrel that comes
with the 870 when you buy it new.
Rem Choke, ribbed....etc. Think its the
barrel for the 870 express.

Please advise on pricing of this barrel.

Thanks guys.

Appreciate it.
D.

It might be worth $100, if it is what you want or need? You can find good used 870's for $150 -175. Shotgun news has barrels occasionally listed for sale.
Do you just need one or just want one like it?
If you start the negotiations low you can go up!
Start to high and you are stuck!

Tell him to set a price or your not interested.
Don't play blindmansbluff. If he refuses then
offer him $40.

If it is from an 870 express, offer him $50.  If it is from a Wingmaster, maybe $100.  You can find used 870s in great shape for $200, so don't break the bank on just a barrel.
