Saw one today on the freeway. Made me do a double take.

There was a Fiero collector/ dealer north of me in Sanford that had his shop and a bunch of fieros destroyed when the dams failed last year. RIP Fieros Forever
I see them somewhat regularly. Probably more often than 90’s civic hatch’s anymore. Seen a really clean one a few weeks back. Looked pretty close to new.
About 30 years.
I used to work with a man named Roland Fiero. He bought one the first year they came out. |
*A while*. A few days ago, I saw a Rampage that had not been molested by a lowrider cult.
I know a 70 year old guy with one. Dude is like a 70 year old ricer with the mods he does and no sense of humor at all if you don’t outright praise the automotive excellence known as the Fiero.

But he did finally give ind a buy a modern car. He just drives the fiero on weekends now. |

Saw a Fiero GT parked at a business yesterday. First one that I've seen in a while.
Last one I saw was just past the power pole it had clipped off at speed.
My mom's GT has been broken down in my grandmothers backyard for at least 25 years if not more.

Just saw a white Fiero on northwestern highway a few days ago. It’s amazing how good-looking that car is even today.
There is a red first gen door stop Fiero parked in a driveway in my neighborhood. I see it almost every time I go walking. It isn't in the best shape and I think it is a teenager's car based on the slathering of bumper stickers on it.
My son's soccer coach drives a red one. Saw him driving it just the other week.
I used to hook up with a girl that drove one, back in the late 90s. Pretty sure that's the last one I saw
Saw 2 sitting side by side in the junkyard last year.
The notable one was the later V6 car. Looked like it ran/drove and was savable, likely victim of CA’s smog regulations. Same yard had a T-Bird S/C in it at the same time. Lots of interesting mid 70s to mid 90s cars get driven to their grave here because they can’t pass smog anymore. |
Saw one this morning. It was silver. 1st time I’veseen a Fiero in years!

A coworker had one and lost it about four years ago. He was so damn cheap he found used tires from the 1980s that sort of fit and drove it on them. I remember him bitching for weeks about how much every dealership were scammers for refusing to mount those tires and then he stopped talking to me because I told them they were correct to not do so. Unsurprisingly, one of the tires disintegrated on the highway causing him to flip the thing.
Someone around the block from me has one. I haven’t actually seen it driving around, but it does look like it’s capable of doing so.
A few weeks ago at a cars and coffee there were 5 or 6 that showed up. They were all together so it mush have been a club. There is another I see all the time when its nice out.
I bought one in 1990. It was a god car. Except for not having any storage space or power. Would have been really cool if it ever had a v-8 in it.
A few weeks. Local guy has one in mint condition.
However, he has it up for sale and is asking a bit much IMHO. |
I had a Fiat X1/9 back in the day. The Fiero looked a bit like it. It was a lot of fun.
Guy right around the corner from me has one and drives it periodically.

Every one has been in this exact condition: "Just needs X, then it will run and be badass". ETA, I am fairly certain their deck lids produce phosgene gas when burned. Lovely cars. |
The Pontiac Fiero is a collectors item...They are collecting in junk yards everywhere.
From a closeted former L4 2.5L Iron Duke Fiero owner |
I saw one upside-down in the desert in the '90s with a sad looking guy sitting on it. He was quite drunk and said he didn't need any help.
The funniest thing I've ever read about a car was about the Fiero. The article said, "consumer acceptance improved, when the fires were prevented".
Apparently the early models had a tendency to go up in flames. |

This one is parked across from my son's football practice field.

There are two in my neighborhood, both with historical vehicle plates.

Ha! My buddy from college owns a red one. We went bar-hopping in it last month.
Good times. |

I had a 4 cyl Fiero, and I had all of the factory fuckups (stamped clutch throwout arm! OMG!!) fixed. My Fiero was better than factory new, and literally one week after I put 4 very expensitive tires (whatever $600 worth of tires meant in 1994) my gf fucking totaled it.
Now days, wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole due to parts issues ... The steering had some issues, but I loved the hell out of that thing. I loved that ass on the pavement ride. The Fiero Cg was below anything on the road. Not a fast car, just fun. I used to take people for thrill/panic rides through Lower Wacker Drive (Blues Brothers) and never failed to elicit a shreik of terror. eta: OPs question... saw two this year. |
