this sounds worrying: "Judging by the telemetry information, too high pressure was created in the fuel system, as a result of which the bellows broke and the fuel flowed into the gas cavity behind the bellows membrane."

That module is snakebit. SEVEN tries to get it into orbit. Fourteen years late to orbit. Problems with the propulsion system responsible for four of those times, then add this mess.
Astronauts tend to be almost as superstitious as sailors and baseball players. Going to be interesting, seeing as Nauka is supposed to be their new crew quarters.

Russian news -
The Russian module "Science" (MLM-U), which yesterday successfully launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome and injected into the target orbit, encountered malfunctions in the fuel system, said N + 1 a source in the rocket and space industry. To raise the orbit and approach the ISS, "Nauka" must turn on the engines four times; due to a failure, the module may not have enough fuel for all maneuvers, he said. The ECLSS system (oxygen creation from h2o) on the Russian side of the ISS is a lost technology. The company that made it went bankrupt not long after the end of the Cold War and the engineer who performed the last minute tweaks to the system died without passing on his knowledge.
And they want to build a moon base with the Chinese? Suppose they will be sending up lots and lots and lots of oxygen candles. |

While Mother Russia hacks US companies and shakes them down, threatens world piece as they continue to build their military, which will most likely kick into overdrive once they own parts of Europe with the new gas line. Despite all of this we still play this game in space as if we are buddies.
